Educational Programs
American Sign Language, English, Mathematics, and Life Skills instruction are provided by deaf instructors for the deaf refugees and their family members.
Paperwork
Volunteers will assist you with translating various documents, understanding your mail, and filling out forms.
Citizenship
We will assist you with citizenship process.
Field Trips
Learning takes place outside the classroom too. We have field trips to learn about local places around Rochester and upstate NY.
Social Events
Each month, we host social and cultural events to broaden horizons and have a bit of fun.
Advocacy
Our volunteers advocate for refugees' needs in court, at doctor appointments, school, and in the community by making sure their communication needs are met and connecting them with services and professionals as needed.
